Singapore Maritime Week 2024 features a new trade exhibition, EXPO@SMW to showcase state-of-the-art technologies and the latest offerings in solutions and services to support the industry’s transformation and sustainability journey to achieve a net-zero future. The exhibition is divided into thematic zones – Maritime Singapore Showcase, Innovation, Decarbonisation, and Maritime Services that will offer visitors a comprehensive overview of the various exciting developments in the industry.
Within EXPO@SMW, the Tech Stage aims to showcase the latest technologies in AI and maritime innovations developed by entrepreneurs and established maritime companies, with presentations taking place throughout the 3 days of exhibition.
Pitch Arena within EXPO@SMW (16th April 2024, 4.30pm to 6.00pm)
The Pitch Arena offers start-ups a unique opportunity to showcase their technologies, featuring innovations on sustainability & green tech, security & safety, smart ports & ships. This platform allows start-ups to leverage on SMW's global visibility to seek new partnerships and investments.
Start-ups are invited to seize the spotlight, presenting their solutions to audience of corporates and venture capital firms. Each start-up is granted a 5-minute window to captivate the audience, sparking discussions and opportunities for collaboration. Participating organisations include PIER71™, Innoport (Schulte Group), Motion Ventures, Paragon Ventures, Vynn Capital, amongst others.
Also, witness promising start-ups in the maritime ecosystem come together to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), forging strategic partnerships that will progress sustainable practices in the Maritime Industry.
Unlocking Maritime Decarbonisation at TechStage (17th April 2024, 4.15pm to 5.45pm)
The 2-part panel discussion: Unlocking Maritime Decarbonisation will explore effective collaborative models between corporates and startups (Panel 1) and promising technologies that can drive a sustainable ocean economy (Panel 2).
